Little shop favourites

There are two things I like in life, cocktails and affordable fashion, so you can imagine my surprise when I find a boutique that is not only affordable but sexy too.

Peak Boutique is a brand new company, inspired by on-trend fashion, established in 2014.
'We aim to bring you Great Quality Brands at Affordable Prices - without 'Breaking the Bank!'

Wanting to seperate themselves from every other online fashion company, Peak Boutique offer for all customers who sign up to the website monthly competitions and a great loyalty scheme. For once the loyalty scheme isn't a petty free delivery when you consequently spend £500 in the next 5 years. With Peak Boutique, for every £1 you spend you get 10 points, after you reach a 1000 points you get £5 off your order - and with the amount of gorgeous items on the website, you'll be hard not to reach a 1000 points.

Here are a few of my favourite items:
"Kiss the Sky" - £35

"Ginger Fizz" - £32

 "Big Metal" - £22

All contact details of the store can be found here:

Freshers aren't so fresh.

So it's been well over a month since I last updated but thats due to packing up my life and moving 200 miles south to Southampton. I've also started university at Southampton Solent in the last 4 weeks and it's been a great experience so far. However, nothing is perfect and for the second time in 2 months ended up in hospital! This instance it was a severe case of glandular fever that left me hospitalised for 4 days.

BUT - i'm back and getting stronger each and every day. Unlike most teenagers my age I haven't gone crazy with money so i'm still holding my crown of Ebay Queen. Heres my 4 weeks in pictures.

This was my first night in Southampton so I used the opportunity for my first flat selfie.

Showing off my brand new Motel Rocks dress from Ebay for a purse clenching 99p.
As part of our welcome week we were thrown back 30 decades into the world of Punk Rock. We were asked to make an outfit that was totally recycled to construct a modern twist on our vision of punk. This was my groups outcome. - i'm slightly envious of the collar, I need something like that in my life.

To celebrate being released from hospital I decided to get a new 'fro. Going back to my love of dip-dye and fringe I decided this was a much needed change.

Styling Up

Earlier this week I was approached by the online fashion styling based company "styling up" to review their brand new, up and coming fashion advice and online shopping site.

I was instantly impressed with their goals to help women of all dress sizes according to their body shape. My favourite bit was knowing that I was getting the same excellent results as I would in John Lewis and House of Fraser, expect I didn't have the disapproving sales assistant "MmmHmm" over the size of my arse.

Styling up is an easy to use site that takes registering to a whole new level. When registering, providing you already have your bust, hip, waist and inside leg measurements, registration will only take 2 minutes. From there you can access the items stylists have personally chosen for your body type using categories like style, price, occasion etc.

If this wasn't appealing enough for you, you can now earn Style Points. Style Points can be gained when purchasing items, reviewing, inviting friends and social networking interaction. You get 15 points just for signing up! Now you're probably thinking collecting Style Points is exactly like a Tescos Club Card - you need about 10,000 points just to get a 1st class stamp. But Styling up is different. For just a mere 150 points you can get a £10 M&S voucher or 200 points a gorgeous silicone necklace by Beija Flor.

Now down to the good stuff - the clothes. I will be honest I wasn't expecting much in terms of the clothing range due to it being a start up, however, I had the greatest shock when I saw that online giant brands like Miss Guided and Boohoo were available. I had an even greater shock when I saw that my-favourite-designer-but-too-poor-to-afford French Connection were available and affordable.

I've included some of my favourite picks.

French Connection - Big Brushstroke Draped Crop Trousers - £55

I have fallen head over absolute heels for these trousers. It's no secret that I am a big lover of dark colours and outrageously bold printed trouser so these are my biggest fashion dream. At a mere £55 they're not ridiculously unaffordable as well.

French Connection Chequerboard shorts - £37.50

These masculine style shorts are perfect for a late summer evenings or a night on he town. The bold print stands out that you could simply team them up with a blazer and a plain t-shirt focusing just on accessories. The tie waist belt adds a touch of femininity while ensuring your waist size is accentuated.

London Fashion Week - 15th Feb

It's back. 5 days of showcasing the Spring/Summer 2013 collection from all your favourite designers has finally arrived. It's an event that needs no introduction and what many designers from all around the world proclaim as their favourite fashion week of all. This years logo is designed by none other than Manolo Blahnik and has named it the more than appropriate "shoe tree".

So far I've only had a chance to watch Bora Aksu's live streaming and I'm currently waiting for KTZ to begin (1pm). However, I've recently discovered Foydor Golan's collection.

Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydan are two independent designers from different areas of the globe that struck up a friendship when they both moved to London. They've both worked for the likes of Alexander McQueen, Raf Simons and Issey Miyake.

They feel their signature look is a "purity of shape and formed combined with integrity of texture and detail" and it's really prominent in their collection, quite rightly named, "Belle De Jour".

Here I have included some of my favourite pieces from their collection.

Company Magazines guide to blogging.

It's a Friday night (21:27pm) and I've decided I'm going to give this blogging thing a final go after reading Company Magazines January 2013 issue on how to be a successful blogger. When they say successful I can only imagine they mean you'll have at least one viewer a month by some shady erotic literature reviewing company centred around middle aged women. So I've decided to follow their step-by-step guide in basically, how not to create a shit blog.

(21:34pm) I now have a large glass of red wine, an empty Terry's Chocolate Orange box and half the wrappers content around my chops. I believe I'm ready to take the world by storm.

Step 1 - Don't have a shit URL. Mines not the best but I think we can all appreciate the fact it's not 'PR1NCE55101'

Step 2 - Background is key.  There's such a stress on picking a colour or a background that shows how indie you can possibly be at first glance so I've decided to fore-go all of that and stuck with white. It's simple, elegant and quite frankly shows I've been the laziest mare in Wales.

Step 3 - No ugly fonts. That speaks for itself really. Heaven forbid someone uses font type 'Georgia' instead of the ever popular 'Comic Sans'.

Step 4 - Always make sense and spell correctly. Well, I can guarantee I might be able to do one of those things providing I remember to hit the spell check button at the end.

So there you have it, 4 easy steps to being the next big blogging sensation. I guess not everyone is a Carrie Bradshaw with her fantastically scripted monologue and overly priced to-die-for shoes, I guess it's a good job I always preferred Samantha then. (21:49pm)
